Our Mission Statement
The Terry County Rodeo Association was founded by members of our community who share a deep love for our local heritage and the spirit of the western lifestyle. As a brand- new nonprofit 501(c)(3) based in Terry County, our hearts are set on bringing the excitement and tradition of the rodeo back home, creating unforgettable experiences for our neighbors and friends.
Our vision is to host an annual rodeo—paired with a lively parade—that not only entertains but also creates meaningful opportunities, such as scholarships for deserving youth. We believe these events are more than just celebrations; they are a way for families to reconnect, for children to discover new passions, and for everyone to experience the pride of our county.
We are especially committed to the young people of Terry County. Through kids' camps and hands-on learning programs, we hope to spark curiosity and help children and teens develop a lifelong appreciation for horsemanship, teamwork, and resilience. We want every child to have the chance to sit in the saddle, learn the art of riding, and understand the values that define our western roots. We plan to give back, whether it be through helping other organizations, supporting local causes, or lending a hand where it’s needed most.
To make these dreams a reality, we rely on the generous support of our community. Whether through donations, fundraising events, raffles, or the excitement of team roping’s, goat roping, barrel races, and other rodeo competitions, every contribution helps us build a legacy that honors our past and inspires our future. Together, we are keeping Terry County’s western heritage alive—one ride, one camp, and one celebration at a time.
We welcome everyone in the community to join as members, participate and service, and help make important decisions for the association. By working together, we ensure that every voice is heard and that our events truly reflect the spirit and values of Terry County.
